In 2020 I had this idea that if I went to the Alps during Autumn the trees would just automatically turn orange for me upon my arrival. As you can see in my photos from my that trip it wasn’t the case so I knew one day I had to try again. The opportunity presented itself in a roadtrip with my sister and mum around the northern part of Germany, where I quickly came up with the idea to drive from Rostock to Switzerland, utilizing the (in)famous German Autobahn. I had my good friend Shahab come to Rostock where we met up and took the 11 hour drive to the mountains in our rented Mini Cooper Sport.
Turns out the Larches of the Alps are only orange for about two weeks so we ended up with luck on our side as you can see below.
